German, French artists' works in Ubud<\/p>\n
UBUD, Bali: Two German and French artists will be displaying
\ncanvasses that feature batik designs and photographic effects in
\na joint exhibition at a gallery in Ubud from June 22 to July 6.<\/p>\n
The artists are Annemarie Kipar, 68, a German who has lived in
\nPejeng, Gianyar, for 10 years, and Jacques F.X. Guyat, 44, a
\nFrenchman who lives in Ababi village, Karangasem, Bali, said
\ngallery owner Wayan Sika in Ubud on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Annemarie will present designs of various types of Indonesian
\nbatiks on 11 canvases, to portray community cultures and
\nactivities.<\/p>\n
Guyat, who refuses to be called an artist because he has never
\npainted with a brush, will exhibit 10 large canvases showing his
\nartistic photographic techniques.<\/p>\n

\nFrancisco, where she is slated to display her works in August,\"
