        "content": "<p>Moscow (ANTARA) - German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said on Saturday\nthat he would visit the United States next week to present a coordinated\nEuropean Union stance on tariffs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe must coordinate with the European Union\u2026 and I will go to\nWashington with a unified and coordinated European position,\u201d Merz told\nARD television when asked about US tariffs.<\/p>\n<p>The German Chancellor also expressed hope that following the recent\nUS Supreme Court decision to overturn imposed tariffs, the customs\nburden on the German economy would be significantly reduced.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, the US Supreme Court ruled to reject the tariff scheme\nintroduced by US President Donald Trump under the International\nEmergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).<\/p>\n<p>Trump condemned the court for making what he called a \u201cridiculous\u201d\ndecision and ordered the imposition of interim tariffs of 10 per cent on\nall imports into the US for 150 days.<\/p>",
