Gerindra Party spokesperson Sugiat Santoso stated that his party is\nopening doors to all political forces in preparation for the 2029\nGeneral Election and Presidential Election.<\/p>\n
According to Sugiat, Gerindra is even open to working alongside PDIP,\ndespite it currently being the only party outside of the government.<\/p>\n
\u201cGerindra is opening its doors as wide as possible to any political\nforce in the context of 2029 to, shall we say, work together,\u201d Sugiat\nsaid in a statement on Thursday (17\/9).<\/p>\n
\u201cWhether in the context of the Presidential Election and so on,\nGerindra is opening opportunities. Even with PDIP itself,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
This statement was made by Sugiat in response to the recent moment of\nrapport between the President and Gerindra Chairman, Prabowo Subianto,\nand the Governor of Jakarta, who is also a PDIP politician, Pramono\nAnung, during the inauguration of the LRT on Wednesday (16\/9).<\/p>\n
Sugiat emphasised that Gerindra is open to cooperation with all\nparties, especially those who share the same desire to find solutions to\npublic issues.<\/p>\n
However, the Deputy Chairman of Commission XIII of the DPR clarified\nthat the President\u2019s presence at the LRT inauguration alongside Pramono\nwas not a political agenda. He stated that Prabowo was purely performing\nhis official duties.<\/p>\n
\u201cTherefore, it cannot be interpreted that there was a political\nagenda in that meeting. It was simply a form of working together,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, Sugiat added that the 2029 General and Presidential\nElections are still too far off to be discussed at this time. He noted\nthat his party\u2019s internal political calculations for the election have\nnot yet begun.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn terms of political calculations, there are none yet. Because,\nonce again, we are currently focused on, shall we say, supporting the\nprogrammes and policies of Mr Prabowo Subianto,\u201d said Sugiat.<\/p>\n
During the inauguration ceremony, Prabowo took the opportunity to\npraise Pramono\u2019s capacity as the Governor of Jakarta. He requested that\nother parties follow this example, expressing hope that regional heads\nfrom other parties would take good examples and work correctly.<\/p>\n
