        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Geological Agency of the Ministry of Energy\nand Mineral Resources (ESDM) has mapped several areas in Central\nSulawesi Province that have a high probability and vulnerability to\nliquefaction following a 6.7 magnitude earthquake several days ago.\nAgency Head Lana Saria stated during a press conference on Friday that\nan updated technical monitoring map indicates four regencies and cities\nrequire intensive attention. \u201cThe areas that need attention include Sigi\nRegency, Palu City, Parigi Moutong Regency, and parts of Poso Regency.\nLiquefaction can potentially occur in water-saturated sandy soil layers\nthat experience strong shaking,\u201d she said. Lana explained that this\npotential status does not mean a liquefaction disaster will definitely\noccur at all points, but rather serves as a scientific indicator showing\nthe need for increased vigilance and strengthened structural mitigation.\nTherefore, the Geological Agency considers a more detailed and specific\nmicrozonation study essential to determine in-depth risk classifications\nfor each location in the four areas. Lana revealed that the released\ndata and liquefaction distribution map are expected to become a\nfundamental reference for local governments in formulating spatial\nplanning and safe zoning policies.
