        "content": "<p>The National Creative Economy Movement (GEKRAFS) held its National\nWorking Conference (Rakernas) and GEKRAFS Awards 2026 under the theme\n\u201cAstakarya: Accelerating Works, Transforming Indonesia\u2019s Economy\u201d in\nJakarta recently. The event was attended by representatives from 38\nprovinces, 288 regencies and cities, as well as 12 Overseas Leadership\nCouncils as part of national consolidation efforts to strengthen\nIndonesia\u2019s creative economy ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>GEKRAFS General Chairperson Kawendra Lukistian stated that Astakarya\nrepresents the organisation\u2019s strategic direction to accelerate creative\neconomy growth whilst strengthening the sector\u2019s contribution to the\nnational economy. \u201cFollowing our recent congress, GEKRAFS held a\nleadership meeting and released our flagship programmes. If President\nPrabowo has Astacita, GEKRAFS has Astakarya,\u201d Kawendra explained.<\/p>\n<p>He elaborated that Astakarya aligns with the national development\nvision and encompasses eight strategic programmes: CEFA, DIPLE, GANDI,\nDIGIMAP, ARTPAY, YOUTHEM, RECHUB, and GLOBE. These eight programmes were\nformulated to expand funding access for creative economy practitioners,\nstrengthen legal ecosystems and intellectual property protection,\nenhance digital literacy, advocate for creative worker remuneration\nstandards, create opportunities for young talent, strengthen creative\nhubs across regions, and promote Indonesian creative product exports to\nglobal markets.<\/p>\n<p>GEKRAFS also presented the conference results, comprising strategic\nrecommendations to the Ministry of Creative Economy. These\nrecommendations were personally submitted by GEKRAFS General Chairperson\nKawendra Lukistian to Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya as a\ncontribution of thought from creative economy practitioners nationwide\nto strengthen national creative economy policy and ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>GEKRAFS Board of Trustees Sandiaga Uno assessed that creative economy\nholds a strategic role as a motor for Indonesia\u2019s future economic\ngrowth. \u201cThe creative economy has potential in creating employment,\ndriving innovation, and expressing national identity. We need to\nstrengthen collaboration so this potential truly delivers impact to the\nnational economy,\u201d said Sandiaga.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, GEKRAFS Advisory Board Member Sufmi Dasco Ahmad emphasised\nthe importance of organisational consolidation so that GEKRAFS can\nbecome a strong forum for creative economy practitioners throughout\nIndonesia. \u201cGEKRAFS must be a great home for those working in the\ncreative economy. With strong consolidation from centre to regions, we\ncan ensure creative practitioners receive greater space, support, and\naccess to develop,\u201d Dasco stated.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the Rakernas agenda, the event also featured GEKRAFS Awards\n2026 as appreciation for creative economy practitioners recognised for\ntheir contribution to developing Indonesia\u2019s creative economy\necosystem.<\/p>\n<p>The 2026 GEKRAFS Rakernas also presented a keynote speech from the\nMinister of Research, Technology and Higher Education Professor Brian\nYuliarto highlighting the importance of innovation, research, and\nstrengthening creative talent in supporting knowledge-based economic\ngrowth. Beyond discussion and programme presentations, the event\nincluded remarks from Deputy Minister of Hajj Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak\nencouraging creative economy practitioners to maintain integrity values\nand beneficial impact in their work.<\/p>\n<p>The 2026 GEKRAFS Rakernas was supported by collaboration from various\nstrategic institutions from banking, state-owned enterprises, industry,\nmedia and creative communities, including BTN, BSI, ANTAM, Novotel,\nJIEP, Kelindoku, Hutama Karya, Danareksa, Pusri, Mayapada, PPA,\nNusantara TV, Timah, Warna Warni, GEKRAFS Rejang Lebong, and Nindya\nKarya. This cross-sector collaboration is expected to strengthen the\nnational creative economy ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>Through the 2026 Rakernas and GEKRAFS Awards, it is hoped to\nstrengthen national consolidation, expand access for creative economy\npractitioners throughout Indonesia, and encourage the emergence of\ninnovative works capable of accelerating Indonesia\u2019s economic\ntransformation.<\/p>",
