        "content": "<p>Gatari awarded ISO 9001 certificate<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Gatari, an aircraft chartering company, was<br>\nawarded an international certificate of ISO 9001 standardization<br>\nby Det Norske Veritas of the Netherlands.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;This is the first aircraft chartering company in Asia that<br>\nhas got such an international standardization certificate,&quot; the<br>\ncompany&apos;s president, Eddy Pramono, announced here yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The company, which mostly deals with chartering aircraft for<br>\noil exploration and forest exploitation, won the ISO 9001<br>\ncertificate for its design and for good air services.<\/p>\n<p>Eddy noted that by winning the certificate, his company&apos;s<br>\nmanagement has been internationally recognized and it will have a<br>\nsharper competitive edge.<\/p>\n<p>According to Eddy, the company plans to go public in 1997 at<br>\nthe latest. &quot;For that purpose, we&apos;re currently making some<br>\nimprovements. We&apos;ll change our capital structure,&quot; he said.<\/p>\n<p>To date, Gatari&apos;s operations are mostly at home, serving the<br>\noil and mining companies such as Enterprise, Maxus, Fina, Shell,<br>\nUnocal, Trend and Freeport.<\/p>\n<p>The company is also currently working on contracts with<br>\nMyanmar, Laos and Vietnam.<\/p>\n<p>With 12 years of operation behind it, Gatari has 41 aircraft,<br>\nconsisting of 13 fixed wing aircraft and 28 helicopters.<\/p>\n<p>The company has a 40 percent market share of the local<br>\nexploration and exploitation charter services.<\/p>\n<p>The growth rate of its revenues averages 5 percent per year.<br>\nThis year it targets revenues of Rp 60 billion (US$26 million)<br>\nand a profit of 18 percent.
