        "content": "<p>Bekasi, KOMPAS.com - PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) has isolated\nthe affected network following a disruption in the natural gas\ndistribution system along Jalan Nangka Raya in Kranji Village, Bekasi\nBarat District, Bekasi City on Friday, 29 May 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The disruption is suspected to have been caused by excavation work\nfor a pedestrian improvement project by Bekasi City\u2019s Public Works and\nWater Resources Department (DBMSDA), which struck PGN\u2019s gas\npipeline.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPGN is currently isolating the affected network and conducting\nfurther technical measures to ensure the system remains safe,\u201d said Area\nHead of PGN Bekasi, Liestya Heryani Devi, in a statement on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>She explained that PGN received reports of a suspected disruption in\nthe natural gas distribution system along Jalan Nangka Raya on Friday\nafternoon. In response, PGN\u2019s operational team was immediately\ndispatched to the site to inspect and secure the area.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPGN\u2019s operational team also implemented safety and operational\nprocedures during the response,\u201d said Liestya.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInitial monitoring indicates the situation is now under control,\u201d\nshe added.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, a high-pressure gas and water spout reaching approximately\nfive metres in height had caused alarm among residents and road users in\nthe Perumnas 1 area along Jalan Nangka Raya, Kranji Village, Bekasi\nBarat District.<\/p>\n<p>Muhammad Syaifulloh, Commander of Platoon 6, Company C of Bekasi\nCity\u2019s Fire and Rescue Department (Disdamkarmat), stated that the leak\noriginated from a PGN pipeline situated above a drainage channel. He\nadded that a pipeline belonging to Bekasi City\u2019s Tirta Patriot Regional\nEnterprise (Perumda) was also present at the scene, but was confirmed to\nbe safe after inspection.<\/p>\n<p>Firefighters received the gas pipeline leak report at approximately\n2:35 PM WIB. Within five minutes of receiving the report, responders\narrived on-site to manage the situation.<\/p>",
