Gas firm gets loan<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): The state-owned gas company Perum Gas Negara and
\nthe European Investment Bank have signed a Rp 138 billion
\n(US$62.72 million) loan agreement for the construction of a
\nnatural gas pipeline from South Sumatra to the central part of
\nthe island.<\/p>\n
The European Commission's representation office said in a
\nstatement yesterday that the agreement was recently signed in
\nBrussels by Indonesian Ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg
\nSabana Kartasasmita, Perum Gas Negara's president Qoyum
\nTjandranegara, and an executive of European Investment Bank,
\nRudolf de Korte.<\/p>\n
The pipeline is part of a project for gas exploration and
\nproduction in Sumatra, which is co-financed by the Asian
\nDevelopment Bank and the Exim Bank of Japan. (04)<\/p>",
