        "content": "<p>A group of youths in Bungbulang District, Garut Regency, West Java,\nvoluntarily handed over dozens of loud motorcycle exhausts to the police\nas a demonstration of concern to maintain order, safety, and comfort for\nthe public, especially road users.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018As many as 60 loud exhausts were handed over voluntarily by members\nof OKP (youth organisations) as a form of collective awareness to\nmaintain public order and comfort,\u2019 said Bungbulang Police Chief AKP\nPriyo Sumbodo when receiving the handover of the loud exhausts in Garut,\non Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the police have long sought to create a secure and\norderly environment, including eradicating the use of loud exhausts to\nenhance road user comfort.<\/p>\n<p>At present, he said, his force is not carrying out enforcement\nactions; rather, the youth group came voluntarily to hand over their\nloud exhausts to the police.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018This step demonstrates the synergy between the police and youth\nelements in supporting the creation of a safe environment, especially\nduring the holy month of Ramadan,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n<p>He urged all elements of society, especially young people, to always\nsafeguard security and public order, including keeping their\nsurroundings free from loud motorcycle exhausts and from motor vehicle\ntheft.<\/p>\n<p>The current youth movement deserves praise for showing a positive\naction by volunteering to hand over loud exhausts as a sign of shared\nconcern in maintaining comfort.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018We hope this step can become a positive example for other\ncommunities to join in maintaining order; the synergy formed is expected\nto further strengthen solidarity between the police and the community,\u2019\nhe added.<\/p>\n<p>Besides the Bungbulang area, enforcement against loud exhausts has\nalso been carried out at several police sectors within Garut Regency to\nmaintain public order and comfort.<\/p>\n<p>One of them, Kadungora Police Sector, has seized 17 loud exhausts as\na result of enforcement operations on several roads in the Kadungora\narea, which will subsequently be destroyed.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018All evidence will be secured for further processing in accordance\nwith the applicable regulations,\u2019 said Kadungora Police Chief Kompol\nAlit Kadarusman.<\/p>",
