        "content": "<p>Flight activity at Husein Sastranegara Airport in Bandung is once\nagain showing a positive trend. National flag carrier Garuda Indonesia\nofficially resumed direct return flights between Bandung and Denpasar on\nFriday, 14 August 2026.<\/p>\n<p>This move marks the reactivation of the airport for commercial jet\nflights while strengthening connectivity between two of Indonesia\u2019s main\ntourism and creative economy centres. For this route, Garuda Indonesia\nis deploying Boeing 737-800NG aircraft with a total capacity of 162\nseats.<\/p>\n<p>The inaugural flight, numbered GA-334, departed from Bandung at 11.30\nWIB. The return service from Denpasar to Bandung is operated as flight\nGA-335.<\/p>\n<p>Garuda Indonesia President Director Glenny Kairupan stated that the\nreopening of this route is part of the company\u2019s performance\ntransformation to build a flight network that is relevant to public\nneeds and has sound business fundamentals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday\u2019s momentum not only marks Garuda Indonesia\u2019s return to flying\nfrom Bandung, but is also part of our efforts to optimise the market\npotential of West Java and Bali, which are the epicentre of national\ntourism,\u201d said Glenny.<\/p>\n<p>He added that Bali\u2019s position as a gateway for international tourists\nis expected to boost onward traffic to Bandung and other leading\ndestinations in West Java. This is believed to open up broader mobility\nfor both tourists and business operators.<\/p>\n<p>Garuda Indonesia\u2019s presence in Bandung will also be followed by its\nsubsidiary, Citilink. The low-cost carrier is scheduled to begin\noperating flights from Bandung to a number of destinations on 17\nAugust.<\/p>\n<p>This synergy under the Garuda Indonesia Group aims to provide a wider\nrange of service options for the public while building an integrated and\ncompetitive aviation ecosystem in the West Java region.<\/p>",
