Garden set stolen<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A set of cast-iron park benches and a table
\nworth Rp 2.5 million (US$373) were stolen from the residence of
\nthe Ambassador of Yugoslavia in Menteng, Central Jakarta, on
\nWednesday night, police said on Thursday.<\/p>\n
Police said nothing else belonging to Ambassador Dusan
\nStojkovic and his family was taken by the thieves, and that
\nseveral people had been questioned about the case, including the
\nsecurity officer, Mandar, who overslept while on duty when the
\nincident took place.<\/p>\n
Stojkovic said nobody in the house heard anything suspicious
\nthat night.<\/p>\n
\"We were shocked to find the antique-style benches and table
\nwere gone early in the morning. I had planned to send them to
\nYugoslavia within the next two days,\" he told The Jakarta Post.<\/p>\n
The Menteng subdistrict is known as one of classiest
\nresidential area in the city, where many foreign diplomats stay.<\/p>\n
\"This area should be the most secure place in Central Jakarta.
\nI am disappointed to find there is no security guarantee here,
\nwhile there are so many security officers and guards around,\"
