Game show in S'pore antiterrorism plan<\/p>\n

Refrigerator magnets, a media blitz and even a game show are part
\nof the Singapore government's new all-out new campaign to prepare
\nits people for a potential terror attack.<\/p>\n
One Singaporean will be crowned the island's \"Total Defense
\nKing\" in a game show testing citizens' knowledge of how to be
\nalert for possible terror dangers, the Ministry of Defense said
\nin a statement on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Singapore is tackling a more serious theme with its new \"Total
\nDefense\" campaign than other mass drives, such as to keep public
\ntoilets clean and stop spitting.<\/p>\n
Home affairs minister Wong Kan Seng warned on Friday that the
\ncountry, already on high alert against terror attacks, must
\nprepare \"to cope with the consequences if bombs do go off.\"<\/p>\n
As part of the new Total Defense or \"TD\" campaign,
\n\"Singaporeans can test their knowledge on total defense by
\nparticipating in Who Wants To Be a TD King, along the lines of
\nthe popular game show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire,\" the defense
\nministry statement said.<\/p>\n
\"Refrigerator magnets with emergency numbers will also be
\ndistributed,\" the statement said.<\/p>\n
Broadcasters will air briefings on how citizens can \"protect
\nthemselves at home in the event of a chemical attack,\" and what
\nto do if they notice anything suspicious, the statement said.<\/p>\n
The new campaign also involves youth camps, and \"refrigerator
\nmagnets with emergency numbers will also be distributed,\" the
\nstatement said.<\/p>\n
A local theater company will tour schools and libraries,
\nstaging a drama on the need to be prepared for emergencies.<\/p>",
