        "content": "<p>The Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo) is once\nagain staging the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Commercial Vehicle\nExpo (GIICOMVEC) 2026, a dedicated business-to-business (B2B) commercial\nvehicle exhibition. The event is scheduled to take place from 8 to 11\nApril 2026 at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran,\nJakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Gaikindo Chairman Putu Juli Ardika said GIICOMVEC 2026 represents a\nstrategic moment to strengthen Indonesia\u2019s position as a vehicle\nproduction and export base, including in the commercial sector.\nAccording to him, the national automotive industry has demonstrated\npositive performance amid global dynamics.<\/p>\n<p>He outlined that throughout 2025, Indonesia\u2019s automotive exports\nreached 518,212 units to 93 countries. Of that total, commercial\nvehicles accounted for approximately 20,326 units.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is proof that Indonesian automotive products are increasingly\nrecognised in international markets,\u201d Putu said at a press conference in\nJakarta on Monday (23\/2\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Currently, national motor vehicle production capacity stands at 2.59\nmillion units per year. Gaikindo recorded that actual production in 2025\nwas in the range of 1.2 million units for domestic needs and exports.\nGoing forward, the association is optimistic that this capacity can be\nmaximised through to 2030.<\/p>\n<p>Gaikindo Daily Chairman Anton Kemal Tasli Kumonty added that\nGIICOMVEC 2026 carries the theme \u201cIndonesia\u2019s Leading Commercial Vehicle\nSolution Expo\u201d. The exhibition is focused as a commercial vehicle\nsolutions centre showcasing the latest technology for the logistics,\nmanufacturing, mining, and passenger transport sectors.<\/p>\n<p>According to Anton, this year\u2019s event will occupy Hall B and Hall C\nat JIExpo, covering a total area of approximately 16,000 square metres.\nA number of commercial vehicle brands have confirmed their\nparticipation, including Daihatsu, DFSK, Hino, Isuzu, Mitsubishi Fuso,\nSuzuki, Toyota, and Wuling, along with coachbuilding companies and\nsupporting industries.<\/p>",
