        "content": "<p>PT Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) has distributed\nhumanitarian aid worth Rp300 million to assist with disaster relief\nefforts for flash floods and landslides in Aceh and North Sumatra. The\nassistance was handed over through the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) North\nJakarta branch and was formally received at the office of the North\nJakarta Mayor on Friday, 27 February 2026.<\/p>\n<p>This donation represents JICT\u2019s support for accelerating emergency\nresponse and post-disaster recovery in the affected areas. In\nrecognition of this contribution, JICT received two awards, one each\nfrom the PMI North Jakarta branch and the North Jakarta Mayor.<\/p>\n<p>JICT Chief Executive Director Ade Hartono stated that the assistance\nis an expression of the company\u2019s solidarity with communities facing\ndifficult circumstances. \u201cThe disasters that occurred in Aceh and North\nSumatra have caused significant impacts for residents. We hope this\nassistance can ease the burden on communities and support faster\nrecovery,\u201d Ade said during the aid handover ceremony in North Jakarta on\nFriday, 27 February 2026.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasised that JICT, as part of the national logistics ecosystem,\nis committed to responding to emergency situations and humanitarian\nconcerns. North Jakarta Mayor Hendra Hidayat said the donation\nsignificantly aids disaster response efforts and expressed hope that\nsuch collaborative initiatives would be further strengthened.<\/p>\n<p>The PMI North Jakarta branch will utilise JICT\u2019s donation to support\nvarious emergency response needs, including logistics provision,\nhealthcare services, and initial recovery for affected residents. Ade\nnoted that JICT has been implementing various social care programmes for\ncommunities in the fields of education, environment, health, and\ncommunity empowerment.<\/p>\n<p>In related developments, road access from North Tapanuli Regency to\nSibolga City in North Sumatra remains disrupted and repair work\ncontinues despite the Christmas holiday season. The Ministry of\nForestry, through its Aceh Regional Coordinator office, is continuing to\naccelerate disaster relief efforts including clearing timber and debris.\nSix districts in North Sumatra have been designated as high-risk mudik\n(homecoming) areas for the 2025\/2026 Christmas and New Year period due\nto incomplete recovery from disaster impacts. The Ministry of\nAgriculture will rehabilitate 436.99 hectares of chilli plantations in\nNorth Sumatra damaged by the floods and landslides. The Ministry of\nForestry\u2019s Directorate General for Law Enforcement has also conducted\nsealed operations against three legal subjects.<\/p>",
