Promotions for queue-free Hajj travel using mujamalah and furoda visas are surging ahead of the 2026 season, with social media ads offering packages up to US$29,900 including flights, hotels, and full services, backed by guarantees. However, Indonesia's Ministry of Religious Affairs has cautioned the public against these offers, stating that only official quota-based Hajj visas are reliable, as Saudi Arabia no longer issues furoda visas and controls all approvals. Deputy Minister Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak emphasised the low certainty of such unofficial visas, urging pilgrims to avoid scams to protect their investments and ensure legitimate travel.

Promotions for Hajj departures without queuing through the mujamalah
and furoda visa schemes are once again prevalent ahead of the 2026 Hajj
season. Several advertisements circulating on social media offer “Hajj
2026 without queuing” packages priced at up to US$29,900 (Rp512
million), claiming to use official furoda or mujamalah visas. In
promotional ads published on Hajifuroda.id, organisers offer various
facilities, from flight tickets and hotels to meals and worship services
in the Holy Land. Some packages even include departure schedules at the
beginning of Dzulhijjah 1447 H and promise a “100 per cent money-back
guarantee” if the visa fails to be issued. Nevertheless, the government
reminds the public not to be easily swayed by such promises. Indonesia’s
Deputy Minister for Hajj and Umrah, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, stressed
that the certainty of visas outside the official quota is very weak.
“Once again, the only certain visa is the Hajj visa based on the Hajj
quota,” Dahnil said when asked by Republika after a discussion with the
Minister of Immigration and Community Empowerment, Agus Andrianto, at
the Ministry of Religious Affairs office in Jakarta on Wednesday
(15/4/2026). He explained that various offers for mujamalah visas
circulating on the internet do not guarantee departure. According to
him, the authority to issue visas lies entirely with the Saudi Arabian
government, so it cannot be guaranteed by travel agents. “Because later
there will be people selling on the internet as if they can get
mujamalah visas, the certainty level is very low,” he said.
",
