Function of DPR\/MPR<\/p>\n

Lately, I have been following the debates concerning the
\nrespective abilities of military and civilian figures to lead our
\ncountry, the composition and hierarchy of the members of the
\nHouse of Representatives (DPR) and the People's Consultative
\nAssembly (MPR), and the issue of national repentance.<\/p>\n
I am very saddened that a learned national figure has called
\non the country to repent to God in the face of the many disasters
\nthat this country has faced recently. In my opinion, instead of
\nnational repentance, it would be better to collect funds for the
\nSEA Games and for the alleviation of the suffering of our
\nbrethren who have been hit by forest fires and famine. This
\ncollection must, of course, be voluntary and not compulsory.<\/p>\n
The actual composition of the DPR\/MPR is not the issue. The
\nimportant thing is that the members must use their position to
\nchannel the people's aspirations with a view to the free trade
\nera soon to take place. Why? Because the role of the DPR\/MPR is
\nvery decisive for the nation.<\/p>\n
The importance of the House's function is to use its
\nsupervision, budget and initiative authority effectively in
\naccordance with the people's aspirations.<\/p>\n
