Fujitsu set to grab more from RI's $1.9b IT market<\/p>\n

Fujitsu Indonesia has expressed optimism it will be able to
\ngrab a significant part of the US$1.9 billion Indonesian IT
\nmarket in 2007 as the company relies on various world-class
\nproducts, including PRIMEPOWER Unix\/SPARC Server, PRIMEQUEST
\nMission-Critical Server, and PRIMERGY Inter-architecture Server.<\/p>\n
\"IDC forecasts that the Indonesian Information Technology (IT)
\nmarket will grow by 10 percent per annum with a compound annual
\ngrowth rate (CAGR) of 10 percent from 2002 to 2007. There are
\nmany companies competing in this sector but only one or two IT
\nand telecommunication companies are able to provide one-stop end-
\nto-end solutions like us,\" said PT. Fujitsu Indonesia (FI)
\npresident director Takafumi Mikuni.<\/p>\n
Mikuni admits that the competition in the Indonesian IT market
\nhas been very tough, particularly in hardware products. However,
\nhe believes that healthy competition constitutes a positive
\nfactor for the growth of the Indonesian IT market.<\/p>\n
Aside from servers, FI also offers PCs, systems and solutions,
\nincluding ETERNUS Storage System, PRO-Ness Enterprise Resource
\nPlanning, and ROMANSY Human Resource Management.<\/p>\n
FI says those products have a competitive strength based on
\ntheir performance, reliability and scalability, supported by
\naward-winning Fujitsu technology such as Nano Technology and
\nMicroelectronics Technology.<\/p>\n
\"The superiority of those products has been proven by various
\nsuch as SAP Benchmarks, Oracle Benchmarks, SPE Benchmarks and
\nTPC-C Benchmarks,\" said FI's manager for sales and marketing
\ncommunication Lina Melinda.<\/p>\n
FI celebrated its 10th anniversary in Jakarta early this
\nmonth. Attended by over 350 business partners and government
\nrepresentatives, Mikuni officially announced that FI is a new
\ncorporate name for Japan-based Fujitsu's operations in Indonesia,
\nreplacing the former name PT Fujitsu Systems Indonesia.<\/p>\n
