A fugitive robber who evaded arrest for 11 years in East Ogan\nKomering Ulu Regency (OKU Timur) has finally been captured upon\nreturning to his residence.<\/p>\n
The suspect, identified as PA and now aged 40, was arrested at his\nhome without resistance. He had been a wanted person for a theft and\nassault case at Desa Mujo Rahayu, Kecamatan Semendawai Suku III in East\nOKU Regency since 2015.<\/p>\n
According to Semendawai Suku III Police Sector Chief Iptu Anthoni\nSteven, officers received information from local residents that the\nsuspect had returned home from outside the area. Police immediately\nmobilised to apprehend him.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe suspect is a wanted person in a robbery case that occurred in\n2015. We received information from the community that the suspect was at\nhis residence,\u201d Steven said on Saturday (14 March 2026).<\/p>\n
\u201cOfficers immediately apprehended the suspect at his residence\nwithout any resistance,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
The Original 2015 Robbery<\/p>\n
PA was one of four robbers who targeted the home of 67-year-old\nSumarsono in 2015. The perpetrators forced entry by prying open the rear\ndoor with a screwdriver. Upon encountering the victim, they bound him\nusing curtain fabric from inside the home. The robbers successfully\nstole 2 million rupiah from his trouser pocket.<\/p>\n
Of the four perpetrators involved in the burglary, three identified\nas S, K, and L were apprehended earlier and have served their sentences.\nPA managed to escape and evaded capture for over a decade.<\/p>\n
