The theft of vital state assets in the form of iron pipes belonging\nto PT Pertamina has been uncovered by the URC team of the Indramayu\nPolice. A suspect who had fled to Jakarta was also successfully\narrested.<\/p>\n
The theft is known to have occurred in the Pertamina EP Field\nJatibarang warehouse area, precisely on Jalan Raya Mundu, Kedokan Agung\nVillage, Kedokan Bunder District, Indramayu Regency. As a result of the\ntheft, the company suffered very substantial material losses.<\/p>\n
Based on official calculations, the total loss reached 133,765.6 US\ndollars, or when converted at the Rupiah exchange rate in December 2025\n(Rp 17,700 per US dollar), amounts to Rp 2,367,651,120 (two billion\nthree hundred sixty-seven million six hundred fifty-one thousand one\nhundred twenty rupiah).<\/p>\n
Indramayu Police Chief, AKBP Prianggo PM, through the Head of\nCriminal Investigation, AKP Muchammad Arwin Bahar, explained that his\nteam has secured two suspects in the theft case. The two individuals are\nidentified by the initials W alias K (39 years old) and N (60), both\nresidents of Karangampel District, Indramayu Regency, West Java.<\/p>\n
Arwin explained that the tracking of the suspects yielded results\nwhen the Indramayu Police URC team detected the whereabouts of suspect W\nalias K in the East Jakarta area. Without wasting time, officers\nimmediately moved to conduct a raid and secure the individual on Monday\n(17\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter securing the individual with the initial W in East Jakarta,\npart of the Indramayu Police URC team that was in Indramayu also moved\nquickly to secure suspect N in the Karangampel District area on the same\ndate,\u201d said Arwin on Wednesday (19\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n
Based on the results of the initial examination, both suspects\nadmitted to their actions. For further legal proceedings, both have now\nbeen taken to the Indramayu Police Headquarters for in-depth\nquestioning.<\/p>\n
From preliminary confessions, the theft of the iron pipes is strongly\nsuspected to have been carried out more than once. The suspects are\nbelieved to have repeatedly committed similar acts on different days\ninvolving a number of other parties.<\/p>\n
During the arrest, police also seized a number of pieces of evidence\nfor investigation purposes.
