Fuel prices remain unchanged this month<\/p>\n

State oil and gas company Pertamina has decided to maintain the
\nprice of fuel products for transportation and industry for this
\nmonth, a media statement said on Monday.<\/p>\n
The fuel prices were unchanged from January. Premium fuel for
\nindustry is listed at Rp 2,100 per liter, kerosene Rp 2,200 per
\nliter, automotive diesel fuel Rp 2,050 per liter and industrial
\ndiesel fuel Rp 1,600.<\/p>\n
The price of premium gasoline at gas pumps will remain flat at
\nRp 1,810 per liter, while the price of kerosene is still Rp 1,800
\nper liter.<\/p>\n
Pertamina's high-quality gasoline brands Pertamax and Pertamax
\nPlus will remain at Rp 4,000 per liter and Rp 4,200 per liter,
\nrespectively.<\/p>\n
Pertamina said that the only adjustment of fuel prices was in
\nthe international bunker prices, valid starting today.<\/p>\n
Automotive diesel price dropped from 38 U.S. cents per liter
\nin January to 35.4 U.S cents per liter and industrial diesel from
\n36.2 U.S cents per liter to 33.8 U.S cents per liter. Fuel oil
\ndeclined from 20.3 U.S. cents per liter to 19.5 U.S cents per
\nliter.<\/p>\n
Bunker international prices are not subject to tax and are
\nvalid for foreign ships, vessels heading abroad and bunker fuel
\nagents.<\/p>\n
Pertamina decides on new fuel prices every month based on
\nprices in neighboring Singapore and exchange rate developments.
\nBut the government has decided not to raise fuel prices during
\nthe elections.<\/p>\n
The cash-strapped government is still mulling over various
\nschemes that will increase domestic retail fuel prices by cutting
\nsubsidies. Last year, the fuel subsidy amounted to Rp 63 trillion
\n($6.89 billion) amid soaring international crude oil prices,
\nwhich at one point reached $55 per barrel.<\/p>",
