French minister due here<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): French Minister of Economy and Finance Jean
\nArthuis is scheduled to arrive here today for a two-day visit to
\nboost bilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n
The French minister is expected to meet President Soeharto,
\nCoordinating Minister for Economy and Finance Saleh Afiff,
\nCoordinating Minister for Production and Distribution Hartarto,
\nMinister of Foreign Affairs Ali Alatas and Minister of Finance
\nMar'ie Muhammad during his visit.<\/p>\n
Topics to be addressed during Arthuis' meetings with
\nIndonesian officials include bilateral financial relations and
\nthe strengthening of economic cooperation as well as multilateral
\nfinancial issues and the results of the recent meeting in Lyon of
\nthe Group of Seven (G-7) industrial countries.<\/p>\n
This visit, following the visits of French Minister of Foreign
\nAffairs Harve de Charette last February and President Jacques
\nChirac's special envoy on G-7 issues last May, marks France's
\nstrong commitment in developing its bilateral ties with
