        "content": "<p>The transportation service for Indonesian Hajj pilgrims in the holy\ncity of Makkah, Saudi Arabia, is fully prepared to operate ahead of the\narrival of flight batches. Shalawat buses will serve pilgrims around the\nclock, ferrying them from hotels to Masjidil Haram and back, free of\ncharge.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of the Makkah Regional Transport Division, Syarif Rahman,\nexplained that the service adheres to Saudi government regulations while\nbeing expanded under Indonesian government policy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy regulation, pilgrims staying at least 2,000 metres away must be\nprovided with transport. But Indonesia provides the service to all\npilgrims, regardless of distance,\u201d Syarif told reporters from the Hajj\nMedia Centre (MCH) on Sunday (26\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>This year, the transportation service for Indonesian pilgrims is\nhandled by six companies (syarikat) with city bus fleets distributed\nacross five main areas: Misfalah, Jarwal, Raudhah, Syisyah, and\nAziziyah.<\/p>\n<p>Each area is connected to departure terminals to Masjidil Haram:\nMisfalah via Ajyad Terminal; Jarwal and Aziziyah via Jabal Ka\u2019bah\nTerminal; Syisyah and Raudhah via Syib Amir Terminal.<\/p>\n<p>For ease of use, each bus is equipped with route stickers featuring\ncolour codes and numbers. This year, there are 21 different routes, and\nall pilgrims are provided with route cards upon arrival at their hotels.\n\u201cJust look at the colour and number on the route card; pilgrims no\nlonger need to ask. Usually, they memorise it in two to three days,\u201d\nsaid Syarif.<\/p>\n<p>Bus operations are rolled out gradually in line with pilgrim\narrivals. During peak periods, the fleet numbers around 452 units, all\nbuses with a maximum age of five years.<\/p>",
