Free medical services<\/p>\n
TANGERANG, West Java (JP): All couples, new mothers, mothers-
\nto-be and infants here will receive free medical services and
\nfamily planning guidance at local centers on June 24.<\/p>\n
The free services and guidance will be given by midwives in
\ncooperation with local hospitals and the office of family
\nplanning board to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the
\nIndonesian Midwives Association.<\/p>\n
Chairperson of the association's Tangerang branch office,
\nSopiah KS, told The Jakarta Post on Saturday that the social
\nactivities held during Indonesian Midwives Association's Charity
\nMonth is designed to help reduce the infant and mother mortality
\nrates and the number of births in order to make the national
\nfamily planning program a success.<\/p>\n
According to head of the local health office, HP Nuriman, all
\nTangerang residents, including those living in remote areas,
\ndeserve the free services.<\/p>\n
The guidance, given by medical experts, will include
