        "content": "<p>Jakarta \u2014 The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will begin\ndispatching participants in its free mass return programme at the\nNational Monument (Monas) in Central Jakarta on 17 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Department of Transportation has prepared the return journey\nfacilitated by the DKI Jakarta Government, which will commence on 17\nMarch at Monas,\u201d said DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung at City Hall,\nJakarta, on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that the number of returning travellers has increased\nsignificantly. Initially, the government estimated approximately 26,000\nparticipants. However, the programme has attracted 30,774 participants.\nIn response, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has increased the\nnumber of buses to accommodate the public\u2019s enthusiasm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe now have 709 buses, increased from the 670 previously prepared by\nthe DKI Jakarta Government,\u201d said Pramono.<\/p>\n<p>However, he emphasised that only verified and registered participants\nwill be transported. He urged residents to ensure that only verified\nindividuals come on departure day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn Jakarta, everyone must be verified. We will only dispatch those\nwho have been verified. There will be no last-minute additions,\u201d\nclarified Pramono.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnly those who have been verified will be transported. There will be\nno further announcements as all participants have been documented and\nverified,\u201d stated Syafrin.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government implemented a\nticket re-verification process on departure day to ensure that\nregistered participants board and prevent ticket transfers.<\/p>\n<p>Emanuel Kristanto, Head of Road Transport at the DKI Jakarta\nDepartment of Transportation, emphasised that free return tickets cannot\nbe transferred or sold to other individuals.<\/p>\n<p>Through the Free Mass Return Programme, the DKI Jakarta Provincial\nGovernment provides safe and comfortable public transportation whilst\nreducing traffic congestion during the Eid holiday period.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe coordinate with the Department of Social Services to ensure\neligible parties receive the programme,\u201d explained Emanuel.<\/p>\n<p>To ensure the safety of returning travellers, the DKI Jakarta\nDepartment of Transportation works with the police, military, and\nrelevant policy-making bodies. \u201cNot only during departure, but\nthroughout the journey, officers accompany passengers to their final\ndestination,\u201d said Emanuel.<\/p>",
