        "content": "<p>The Free Health Check (CKG) programme in the border area of Sebatik\nTengah, Nunukan Regency, North Kalimantan, is being directed towards\nstrengthening promotive and preventive health services through the\nIntegrated Primary Services Posyandu (ILP) held every month. Sebatik\nTengah Sub-district Head Aris Nur stated that the ILP Posyandu no longer\nonly serves infants and toddlers, but now covers the entire life cycle,\nfrom babies, children, adolescents, adults, to the elderly. \u201cIn the\npast, posyandu only handled infants and toddlers. Now, through ILP, the\nentire life cycle is served, including the elderly, with a greater focus\non free health checks,\u201d Aris said in Sebatik on Thursday. According to\nhim, examination results so far indicate that hypertension, or high\nblood pressure, is the most common complaint found among the elderly\ngroup. In addition to services at the posyandu, the sub-district\ngovernment together with the community health centre (puskesmas) also\nruns a home visit programme for residents who cannot attend the\nactivities, especially vulnerable groups and people with limited\nmobility. \u201cAfter the posyandu activities, officers record residents who\nhave not had the chance to attend. They are then visited at home for\nhealth checks together with puskesmas staff,\u201d he said. Aris noted that\nthis approach aligns with the Ministry of Health\u2019s policy, which\nprioritises promotive and preventive efforts so that diseases can be\ndetected earlier before they develop into more serious conditions. The\nSebatik Tengah Sub-district Government hopes that public awareness,\nespecially among the elderly, to participate in routine health checks\nwill continue to increase so they do not depend on home visit services.\nHowever, Aris acknowledged that challenges remain in reaching some\nIndonesian citizens who work and reside in the Sebatik area of Malaysia.\nTherefore, his office plans to establish communication with several\ncompanies in the Sebatik area of Malaysia so that health services for\nborder residents can reach more people. \u201cWe hope that this year\ncommunication with companies can be established so that health services\nfor border residents can be more optimal,\u201d said Sebatik Tengah\nSub-district Head Aris Nur.<\/p>",
