        "content": "<p>Bandung \u2013 A fraud operation disguised as promises to open a SPPG MBG\nkitchen for free nutritious meals has been uncovered in West Java.\nThirteen victims from Banjar and Bandung City suffered losses totalling\nRp 1,963,000,000. The Director of General Criminal Investigation of West\nJava Police, Kombes Ade Sapari, said the team uncovered the case based\non two reports in Bandung and Banjar in early January 2026. Four people\nwere named as suspects and are listed on the wanted list (DPO). They are\nidentified as YRN, who promised the victims that they could open the\nSPPG MBG kitchen, and OSP, who claimed to be the nephew of the Deputy\nHead of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). \u201cThe modus operandi was\nthat YRN offered and promised to the victims in Banjar that they could\nopen the SPPG MBG with conditions of paying Rp 75 million to Rp 150\nmillion,\u201d he said, accompanied by Polda West Java Public Relations Head\nKombes Hendra Rochmawan at the West Java Police Headquarters, on Tuesday\n19 May 2026. To persuade the victims, the suspect YRN provided fake IDs\nand coordinates approved by BGN, even though BGN never issued such IDs.\nHe said the money transferred by victims went to account AN, who then\ndistributed funds to YRN, AY and OP. BGN itself never received anything.\nMeanwhile, suspect OSP claimed to be the nephew of the Deputy Head of\nBGN Sonny Sonjaya. \u201cThe losses (to victims) are Rp 1,963,000,000. AN\nreceived Rp 400 million, YRN Rp 334 million, AY Rp 329 million and OSP,\nthe mastermind, Rp 1 billion,\u201d he added. The suspects face charges under\nArticles 492 and 468 of the Indonesian Penal Code with a maximum penalty\nof four years in prison.<\/p>",
