        "content": "<p>Investment and Downstreaming Minister and BKPM Head Rosan Roeslani\nsaid the launch of the France-Indonesia High-Level Business Council\nsignals strong growing confidence from French businesses in\nIndonesia.<\/p>\n<p>The forum, launched in the presence of President Prabowo Subianto and\nFrench President Emmanuel Macron on 28 May 2026, is expected to drive\neconomic, investment, and trade cooperation between the two nations.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018This is a significant milestone in strengthening the\nIndonesia-France economic partnership and promoting investments and\ntrade that deliver tangible benefits for both countries,\u2019 said Rosan,\naccording to the State Secretariat website on 30 May.<\/p>\n<p>The business council launch brought together 30 major company leaders\nfrom Indonesia and France with a combined market capitalisation of $1.3\ntrillion. The forum is co-chaired by Danone CEO Antoine de\nSaint-Affrique and Kadin Indonesia Chairman Anindya Bakrie.<\/p>\n<p>Rosan revealed that the council\u2019s formation also resulted in four new\ncommercial agreements worth $3.5 billion, or approximately Rp57\ntrillion, covering energy, trade, and defence sectors.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018These agreements demonstrate Indonesia is viewed as a strategic\npartner with strong long-term growth prospects and a more competitive\ninvestment climate,\u2019 he added.<\/p>\n<p>According to Rosan, the next challenge is ensuring all investment\ncommitments are fulfilled. The business council will oversee the\nimplementation of agreements and help resolve on-the-ground\nobstacles.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018We are optimistic that Indonesia-France economic ties will grow\nstronger. Government and business collaboration is key to creating\nsustainable growth and job opportunities,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n<p>The Indonesia-France Business Council aims to triple bilateral trade\nby 2035 through strengthened cooperation in various strategic\nsectors.<\/p>",
