        "content": "<p>BANDUNG \u2013 The Faculty of Social Sciences Education (FPIPS) at\nUniversitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) and PT Telkom Indonesia are\nstrengthening their collaboration to support the SDGs programme, or\nsustainable development. One initial step involves PT Telkom Indonesia\nproviding one unit of operational Hiace vehicle at the East Lobby of\nFPIPS UPI this week.<\/p>\n<p>UPI Rector Prof Didi Sukyadi stated that the operational vehicle\nprovided by PT Telkom Indonesia will help enhance the effectiveness of\nvarious university field activities. Therefore, he expressed\nappreciation for the support given.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis vehicle is very much needed to support university mobility,\nparticularly in developing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)\nprogrammes,\u201d he said, quoted on Friday (8\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Prof Didi said the Hiace operational vehicle will be used for\ncommunity service activities in remote areas, mangrove planting, and\nmonitoring student activities at UPI\u2019s regional campuses in Serang,\nPurwakarta, Tasikmalaya, Sumedang, and Cibiru. He mentioned that several\ncollaborations have been undertaken, from digital education to the\ndevelopment of distance learning.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, FPIPS UPI Dean Prof Cecep Darmawan stated that the\noperational vehicle will be utilised optimally to support academic\nactivities and community service oriented towards sustainable\ndevelopment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis assistance is part of efforts to support improvements in\neducation quality and tangible contributions to achieving sustainable\ndevelopment goals,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that FPIPS UPI has been actively developing various\nsustainability programmes, such as the green campus movement,\nstrengthening social ecology, and community empowerment based on\neducation. Collaboration between higher education and industry is\nexpected to further strengthen the contribution of higher education to\nsustainable development in society.<\/p>\n<p>PT Telkom Indonesia representative Rico Junian stated that the\nprovision of the Hiace operational vehicle to UPI is part of the\ncompany\u2019s commitment to supporting the education sector, including\nthrough its corporate social responsibility programme.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe see UPI as a strategic partner with an important role in\neducation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>With this collaboration, he hopes it will continue to develop and\nprovide benefits to society.
