The Bali Provincial Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) has reported\nthat the impact of extreme drought is spreading across the province\nduring the 2026 dry season. At least several areas in four regencies are\nseverely affected by the drought.<\/p>\n
The Head of the Regional Disaster Management Control Unit of the Bali\nProvincial BPBD, I Wayan Suryawan, stated that the conditions of the\n2026 dry season require collective attention. He explained that the Bali\nProvincial BPBD has recorded 529 households (KK) affected by drought,\nspread across four regencies.<\/p>\n
The four affected regencies are Buleleng, Jembrana, Karangasem, and\nKlungkung. \u201cDrought has been recorded in four regencies,\u201d he said in a\nwritten statement on Thursday night.<\/p>\n
Based on weather developments and information from the BMKG\n(Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency), the 2026 dry season\nis expected to be longer, drier, and with relatively higher temperatures\ncompared to normal conditions in several areas. \u201cFrom a disaster\nperspective, these conditions increase the potential for drought, forest\nand land fires, as well as fires in residential areas and waste\nmanagement sites,\u201d said Suryawan.<\/p>\n
\u201cTherefore, the Bali Provincial BPBD, together with district and city\ngovernments, continues to increase monitoring and preparedness,\nespecially in areas with the potential to be affected by drought and\nfire,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Regarding the details of the drought cases, he explained that the\nimpact includes 529 households in Bali, with incidents occurring between\n11 April and 3 September 2026, involving 15 villages or sub-districts.\nIn Buleleng Regency, the affected areas include Sinabun, Madenan, and\nMenyali villages. In Jembrana Regency, the affected areas include\nPendem, Asahduren, Pergung, Bale Agung, Berangbang, Yeh Embang Kauh,\nTukadaya, and Manistutu.<\/p>\n
In Karangasem Regency, the affected areas are Baturinggit, Tianyar\nTimur, and Tianyar villages. Meanwhile, in Klungkung Regency, Pejukutan\nvillage is affected.<\/p>\n
Regarding agricultural land drought, the recorded affected area\nincludes 79.95 hectares in Jembrana and 108.60 hectares in Buleleng. In\naddition to the land already affected, 694.06 hectares out of a total of\n64,704 hectares of paddy fields in Bali are at risk of experiencing\ndrought.<\/p>\n
As for clean water distribution up to 3 September 2026, a total of\n823,200 litres have been distributed. This includes 450,200 litres in\nJembrana, 270,000 litres in Buleleng, 65,000 litres in Karangasem, and\n38,000 litres in Klungkung.<\/p>\n
