        "content": "<p>Directorate General of Customs and Excise will emphasise four main\nfocuses in its policies, work plan, and indicative budget for 2027. \u201cThe\nfirst is healthy and sustainable fiscal management. This policy is\ndirected at improving customs facilities to attract investment, increase\nexports, and support industrial downstreaming,\u201d said Director General of\nCustoms and Excise at the Ministry of Finance, Djaka Budhi Utama, during\na working meeting with Commission XI of the House of Representatives at\nthe Parliament Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday, 15 June 2026, as\nquoted by Antara. This first step will be reinforced by optimising\nspecial zone facilities; increasing exports of micro, small, and medium\nenterprise (MSME) products; and strengthening international customs\ncooperation. Next, the second focus for the Directorate General next\nyear is public protection and economic support, which includes capacity\nbuilding and revitalising supervision in maritime areas, borders,\ncoasts, ports, and airports. The third focus is optimising state\nrevenue, among others through intensifying tariff policies, excise on\ntobacco products, and import duties on certain commodities.\n\u201cExtensification of revenue objects and expansion of the revenue base\naccording to economic developments and societal needs, strengthening\ncustoms valuation, developing more adaptive goods classification, and\nstrengthening joint programmes within the Ministry of Finance,\u201d said\nDjaka. The fourth focus is strengthening services and organisational\ngovernance, human resources (HR), and information technology (IT).\n\u201cPolicies are directed at forming a more dynamic and adaptive\norganisation, refining customs and excise business processes,\nstrengthening HR competence and integrity, perfecting the core system,\nand smart customs,\u201d Djaka stated. Djaka explained that the 2027 work\nplan was designed to support the national development theme, namely\naccelerating quality growth through productivity, investment, and\nquality industry. \u201cBased on the 2027 work framework we have presented,\nDJBC\u2019s funding needs are allocated through three main programmes with a\ntotal indicative budget ceiling for the 2027 fiscal year of Rp 2.81\ntrillion,\u201d said Djaka. The budget breakdown includes the fiscal policy,\nfinancial sector, and economy programme with an allocation of Rp 4.159\nbillion, the state revenue management programme with an allocation of Rp\n749.37 billion, and the management support programme amounting to Rp\n2.056 trillion.<\/p>",
