As of Monday (3\/8), the joint team was still conducting\nfirefighting operations at four locations: two in Pelalawan Regency and\ntwo in Indragiri Hulu (Inhu) Regency.<\/p>\n<p>The head of the Sumatra Forest Fire Control Centre (Dalkarhut),\nFerdian Krisnanto, said these four locations are currently the focus of\nextinguishing operations carried out by Manggala Agni.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are updating the locations where firefighting is currently being\ncarried out by Manggala Agni. There are four locations in Pelalawan and\nInhu,\u201d Ferdian said on Monday (3\/8).<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the firefighting operations are being carried out\nby the Manggala Agni Rengat Operational Area. In Pelalawan Regency,\nfirefighting is under way in Kerumutan Kelurahan, Kerumutan Subdistrict,\nand Mak Teduh Village, Kerumutan Subdistrict, each handled by one\nteam.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, in Indragiri Hulu Regency, one team has been deployed to\nPaya Rumbai Village in Seberida Subdistrict, and another team to Sungai\nGuntung Hilir Village in Rengat Subdistrict.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to firefighting on the ground, the forest fire task\nforce, coordinated by the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency\n(BMKG), has also begun weather modification operations (OMC) to increase\nthe potential for rain and prevent the fires from spreading.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe OMC is currently being carried out as well. The first sortie is\ntargeting the Pelalawan and Indragiri Hilir areas using a Cessna Caravan\naircraft,\u201d he said.<\/p>",
