        "content": "<p>A joint team from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and\nMetro Jaya Police arrested four people suspected of impersonating\nanti-corruption agency staff on Thursday, 9 April 2026. The four fake\nemployees also claimed they could arrange the handling of suspected\ncorruption cases at the KPK. \u201cThe suspected perpetrators were secured in\nthe West Jakarta area,\u201d said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to\nreporters, as reported by ANTARA on Friday, 10 April 2026. In addition,\nthe joint team seized evidence in the form of USD 17,400 during the\narrest. \u201cIn that activity, the team also secured evidence in the form of\nmoney amounting to USD 17,400,\u201d he added. He explained that the four\nindividuals claimed to be envoys from KPK leadership, instructed to\ndemand money from a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives.\n\u201cIt is suspected that this demand is not the first time,\u201d Budi stated.\nFurthermore, Budi urged all ministries\/agencies, local governments,\nstate-owned enterprises\/regional enterprises, and various other\ncommunity elements to always be alert and cautious. \u201cBe careful with\nvarious tactics by individuals who impersonate KPK employees and commit\ncriminal acts, fraud, extortion, or claim to be able to arrange cases at\nthe KPK,\u201d he clarified.
