Four developers lose their licenses<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Four real estate companies in West Jakarta have
\nlost their licenses to develop their allocated plots, six denied
\nservices momentarily from the mayoralty and 33 served with final
\nwarnings for their failure to build public and social facilities.<\/p>\n
West Jakarta Mayor Sutadjianto told the City Legislative
\nCouncil that these real estate companies have neglected their
\nobligations to build facilities, including parks, roads, places
\nof worship and schools, as required by their licenses.<\/p>\n
The developers are supposed to complete these before the
\nmayoralty is willing to assume responsibility of their
\nmaintenance and care, Sutadjianto said.<\/p>\n
He added that 102 real estate companies in West Jakarta, with
\ntotal land area of 2,615 hectares, have commitments to build
\npublic and social facilities, with an estimated combined value of
\nRp 3 trillion, Antara reported.<\/p>\n
Only 12 have fully complied and handed the facilities over to
\nthe charge of the mayoralty. Nine others are in the final process
\nof doing so, he said.<\/p>\n
The move to revoke the licenses on four real estate companies
\nand serve warnings on dozens of others came after repeated
\nwarnings from the Jakarta municipal office to housing developers
\nto comply with their obligations.<\/p>\n
Some real estate companies have even abandoned their estates
\ncompletely, once they sold all the houses, without completing
\ntheir obligations to provide the various facilities.<\/p>\n
Sutadjianto said the four real estate companies that have had
\ntheir land developing licenses rescinded are PT Fontana Garden,
\nPT Gapura Garden Hotel, PT Kijang Kencana, and PT Puskopati. The
\nfour had control over 1.6 million square meter of land.<\/p>\n
The six developers being denied service by the mayoralty
\noffice are PT Kusuma Raya Utama, PT Sumber Cipta Sarana, PT
\nMutiara Idaman Jaya, PT Bojong Permai, PT Metropolitan
\nDevelopment, and PT Intercon Ent. The move was taken because they
\nshowed lack of will in developing the required facilities.<\/p>\n
The 33 developers who were served final warnings include PT
\nIntercon Ent, PT Labrata, PT Antilope Maju, PT Citra Habitat
\nIndonesia, PT Mutiara Idaman Jaya, PT Sumber Cipta Sarana, PT
\nAneka Elok, PT Putra SP, PT DSO Industrial D, PT Satmika Permai
\nIndah, PT Benua PL, PT Green Ville, PT Panin Investment, PT
\nMetroplitan Development, PT Bojong Permai, PT Tamsir Wijaya, PT
\nPembangunan Sarana Jaya, PT Pakuan Utama, PT Sinabung Jaya, PT
\nIBIT, PT Angsana Jaya Indah, and PT Karuna.<\/p>\n
A member of the City Council, Bandjar Marpaung, said the
\nmunicipality should not hesitate in punishing real estate
\ncompanies that neglect their obligations. \"Go public with their
