Four arrested in gang fight<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Four people, two of whom were seriously wounded,
\nwere arrested in a pre-dawn fight in Cipinang Cempedak, East
\nJakarta, yesterday.<\/p>\n
According to the head of the crime investigation unit of the
\nEast Jakarta police precinct, Maj. Endang Sunjaya, the four were
\nmembers of two rival gangs.<\/p>\n
Police are still searching for 10 other gang members as well
\nas the gun and other weapons used in the brawl on Jl. Kebon
\nNanas, Endang said.<\/p>\n
The four arrested were identified as Roy, Ismail, Oni and
\nHusni, all in their 20s.<\/p>\n
All were wounded but only Ismail and Husni were taken to the
\nnearby police hospital due to their serious injuries.<\/p>\n
"One of them was shot," Endang said.<\/p>\n
The incident started when gang-leader Ismail was attacked on
\nMonday by the gang led by Roy. At around 12:15 p.m. yesterday,
\nIsmail returned, this time with friends carrying weapons.<\/p>\n
Eyewitnesses said they heard at least four shots fired during
\nthe brawl but police were only able to find one .9 mm cartridge.<\/p>\n
"We're still looking for the gun carried by one of the
\nfugitives," Endang said.<\/p>\n
In the same area last year, an Army general was stabbed to
\ndeath by a group of drunken youngsters. (bsr)<\/p>",
