The Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) used Ramadan to strengthen\nspiritual values and internal solidarity among its staff. Minister of\nHome Affairs Muhammad Tito Karnavian urged all employees to be grateful\nfor their health and the opportunity to carry out acts of worship in the\nholy month, while also conducting self-reflection and increasing good\ndeeds.<\/p>\n
The appeal was made during a breaking-of-fast event and religious\nlecture at the An-Nuur Mosque, Kemendagri Central Office, Jakarta, on\nWednesday (4 March). The event, which featured preacher Ustaz Hilman\nFauzi, was attended by all Kemendagri staff. In his remarks, Tito\nemphasised the importance of using Ramadan as a momentum to improve\noneself. He hoped all staff would truly use the holy month to enhance\nintegrity and the quality of their work.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have only one wish for you all; may in the holy month of Ramadan\nwe all truly utilise it to improve and introspect ourselves,\u201d Tito\nsaid.<\/p>\n
According to Tito, strengthening spiritual values is important given\nKemendagri\u2019s strategic role as custodian and supervisor of local\ngovernment administration. In addition, the ministry is tasked with\naccelerating reconstruction and rehabilitation after disasters in\nSumatra, and routinely coordinating local inflation control. He said\nthese responsibilities require coordination and strong solidarity among\nstaff.<\/p>\n
He believes that if all cadres perform their duties with integrity,\nevery task will bring blessings. As head of Kemendagri and also the Head\nof the National Border Management Agency (BNPP), Tito urged all staff to\ndeepen their faith and use Ramadan to increase their rewards.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd [I] pray that all of us will receive blessings from Allah SWT in\ncarrying out our duties,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n
During the event, Tito and colleagues handed out aid to orphans and\nto several employees in need. In a solemn atmosphere, the minister also\nlistened to the religious lecture delivered by Ustaz Hilman Fauzi.<\/p>\n
