Fortune clarifies winner ad<\/p>\n
In response to Mr. Ruly's letter concerning Garuda's \"trip to
\nHollywood\" promo (The Jakarta Post, Dec. 16, 1994), on behalf of
\nGaruda Indonesia, Fortune Indonesia as promotion coordinator
\nexplains the mix-up as follows:<\/p>\n
* We promised to publish the winner's name in Kompas on Oct.
\n9, 1994. Unfortunately, our space allotment in the newspaper was
\nstill uncertain or on the waiting list on that day. We then moved
\nthe advertisement from Kompas to Suara Pembaruan on the promised
\ndate (we have the proof copy).<\/p>\n
* We were forced to do this to ensure the ad appeared on the
\npromised date. We acknowledge our mistake in not advising the
\nparticipants of this sudden change.<\/p>\n
On Garuda Indonesia's behalf, we take this opportunity to
\napologize to all participants for the inconvenience it has
\ncaused. And hopefully this answers Mr. Ruly's queries.<\/p>\n
