Former US Vice President Kamala Harris has issued a scathing rebuke\nof the large-scale American military strikes against Iran. Harris has\naccused US President Donald Trump of dragging the United States into a\nwar that the American people do not want.<\/p>\n
\u201cLet me be clear. I opposed regime change war in Iran, and our troops\nhave been placed in danger for Trump\u2019s war of choice,\u201d Harris wrote via\nher official X account, as cited by detikNews on Sunday (1 March\n2026).<\/p>\n
Harris described the US-led assault on Iran as a dangerous and\nunnecessary gamble, accusing her opponent in the 2024 US presidential\nelection of dishonesty. Trump had promised during his campaign to end\nwars.<\/p>\n
\u201cThen last year, he said, \u2018We have destroyed\u2019 Iran\u2019s nuclear\nprogramme. That is also a lie,\u201d the Democratic politician stated\nfirmly.<\/p>\n
Harris also characterised the US strikes on Iran as unwise,\nunjustifiable, and unsupported by the American public. She noted that\nTrump did not receive congressional approval to attack Iran.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is no doubt in our opposition to Donald Trump\u2019s war of choice,\nand Congress must use all available powers to prevent him from further\ninvolving us in this conflict,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
The United States and Israel conducted a large-scale assault on Iran\non Saturday (28 February). They targeted command and control facilities\nof the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), ballistic missile and\ndrone launch sites, military airfields, and Iran\u2019s air defence\nsystems.<\/p>\n
