JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Former protocol officer Syamazzka Zakirni\nrevealed that ex-Deputy Minister of Manpower (Wamenaker) Immanuel\nEbenezer, alias Noel, always reminded his subordinates never to engage\nin corruption.<\/p>\n
Azka conveyed this when presented as a character witness in the\ncontinuation of the trial for the alleged corruption case involving\nextortion in the processing of K3 certificates.<\/p>\n
\u201cHave I ever ordered corruption?\u201d Noel asked Azka during the trial at\nthe Jakarta Corruption Court on Wednesday (29\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n
\u201cNo, sir, you always forbade us from accepting such things,\u201d Azka\nreplied.<\/p>\n
\u201cHave I ever ordered colleagues at the Ministry of Manpower to\nextort?\u201d Noel said.<\/p>\n
Azka\u2019s answer was the same; he was never instructed by Noel to extort\nany party.<\/p>\n
In the trial, Azka was also questioned about Irvian Bobby Mahendro,\nthe Coordinator for Institutional and Personnel Affairs of K3 at the\nMinistry of Manpower from 2022 to 2025.<\/p>\n
Azka admitted he only learned of Bobby when this case emerged and\nnever saw him visiting Noel\u2019s office.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve never seen it, sir. In the guest list or in sir\u2019s agenda,\nBobby\u2019s name was never there, as far as I remember,\u201d Azka said.<\/p>\n
However, in previous hearings, Bobby was said to have met Noel in his\noffice.<\/p>\n
At that time, Bobby asked for Noel\u2019s help because there was a legal\nprocess being investigated by the prosecutor\u2019s office.<\/p>\n
In that meeting, Noel requested Rp 3 billion as a fee or reward.<\/p>\n
