The former Rector of the Kupang State Christian Institute (IAKN),\nHarun Natonis, has reported the current IAKN Rector, I Made Suardana, to\nthe East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police for alleged document\nforgery on Tuesday (1\/9\/2026). This report follows a day after Suardana\nreported Harun for alleged assault on the campus grounds on Monday\n(31\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are reporting IMS (I Made Suardana) in his capacity as Rector of\nIAKN to the NTT Regional Police today, regarding the alleged criminal\nact of forging letters or documents,\u201d stated Harun\u2019s legal counsel, Rian\nKapument, on Tuesday (1\/9\/2026).<\/p>\n
Rian revealed that the case originated in 2024. At that time, I Made\nSuardana, as the newly appointed Rector replacing Harun, issued a letter\ndated 14 October 2024, addressed to the National Civil Service Agency\n(BKN).<\/p>\n
\u201cThe essence of the letter was that Harun Natonis, as one of the IAKN\nlecturers, could not have his rank proposed to IV\/b because his position\nas Senior Lecturer was still in process,\u201d Rian explained.<\/p>\n
However, according to him, Harun Natonis had already attained the\nposition of Senior Lecturer since 1 April 2017. \u201cAs a result of this\ninaccurate letter, our client claims to have been blocked by the BKN,\npreventing him from proposing his promotion through the system,\u201d Rian\nclarified.<\/p>\n
Harun Natonis himself asserted that he had obtained a promotion from\nPembina Utama Madya (IV\/a) to Pembina Utama (IV\/b) effective from 1\nOctober 2024. This promotion was supported by a decision from the\nMinistry of Religious Affairs and completed technical personnel\nprocesses. \u201cHowever, shortly after the promotion, a new problem\nemerged,\u201d said Harun.<\/p>\n
Harun explained that on 31 October 2024, approximately one month\nafter his promotion, a letter from the Rector of IAKN Kupang was sent to\nthe BKN regarding his promotion status. \u201cThat letter was created and\nsent without my knowledge. I only discovered the issue several months\nlater when I intended to process my salary adjustment based on the IV\/b\nrank I had obtained,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
In the police report, the alleged forgery is linked to the letter\ndated 14 October 2024, which Harun claims contains false information.\n\u201cThe core issue being contested is the statement that he could not be\nproposed for promotion to IV\/b because his Senior Lecturer position was\nstill in process,\u201d said the 2020-2024 IAKN Rector.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Made has not provided a response to inquiries regarding\nthe report at the time of publication.<\/p>\n
Previously, Made reported an alleged assault that occurred in the\npostgraduate courtyard of IAKN Kupang on Monday (31\/8\/2026) morning. \u201cI\nwas assaulted this morning, after the morning assembly,\u201d Made stated\nfrom the ICU of Kupang Hospital.<\/p>\n
Made revealed that the incident began after the morning assembly,\nwhen Harun approached him to question the promotion processing, which he\nclaimed had been unresolved for approximately two years. Responding to\nthe inquiry, Made stated that the matter had been handled. \u201cI replied\nthat if the required decree (SK) documents were available, the\nprocessing could be carried out immediately,\u201d Made explained.<\/p>\n
