Acting Head of the Attorney General\u2019s Legal Information Centre,\nMohammad Jeffry, said the house and money were received as a reward for\nan Ombudsman Analysis Results Report issued by Hery. \u2018HS unlawfully\nreceived a sum of money from companies. In addition, HS also received\none residential unit,\u2019 he said in a written statement. Jeffry said that\nin this case, investigators from the Junior Attorney General for Special\nCrimes have transferred Hery to the South Jakarta Prosecutor\u2019s Office\nfor immediate registration with the court. He stated that the transfer\nof the suspect and evidence, or Phase II, was carried out by\ninvestigators from the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes on\nMonday (8\/6). In this case, he said, investigators have examined 38\nwitnesses and two experts. Additionally, investigators have conducted\nsearches at several points in Jakarta and seized documents and\nelectronic evidence. Previously, Ombudsman Chairman Hery Susanto was\nnamed a suspect in the corruption case regarding nickel mining\ngovernance in Southeast Sulawesi for the 2013-2025 period. Director of\nInvestigation at the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, Syarief\nSulaeman Nahdi, stated that Hery played a role in issuing a letter\ncorrecting the amount of non-tax state revenue from the Ministry of\nForestry. Hery also examined the Ministry of Forestry and arranged it so\nthat the fine billing issued against PT TSHI appeared to be erroneous. A\ncorrective letter was then issued by the Ombudsman with an instruction\nfor PT TSHI to perform its own calculations regarding the burden to be\npaid to the state. For his actions benefiting PT TSHI, Syarief stated\nHery received a reward of Rp1.5 billion in 2025.<\/p>",
