        "content": "<p>JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com \u2013 A former employee of Marwah Wedding Organizer\n(WO) Catering Service, Iman, claims he was not paid for nearly eight\nmonths while working at the wedding event company.<\/p>\n<p>Iman stated he worked as a decorator and waitstaff but never received\npayment despite handling dozens of events.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlmost 7-8 months. Not paid; many others haven\u2019t been paid either,\u201d\nhe said in East Jakarta, according to a report by KompasTV journalist\nArdi Praseno, cited by Kompas.com on Monday (25 May 2026).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe decoration fee and monthly salary are different,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to event-based pay, there was a monthly salary scheme of\nRp3.5 million.<\/p>\n<p>However, no payments were received since the start of employment.<\/p>\n<p>The number of employees at the WO, which was initially around 70, has\nnow dwindled to just three.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, Marwah WO was reported to the police over allegations of\nfraud by a couple from Bekasi, Aldi (32) and Feny (32), for wedding\nservices.<\/p>\n<p>East Jakarta Metropolitan Police\u2019s Reskrim Chief AKBP Bayu Kurniawan\nsaid officers would inspect the WO\u2019s office.<\/p>\n<p>Bayu stated the victims had tried on wedding attire at the WO\u2019s\noffice.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe victims tried on dresses at their office in JGC. We need to\ncheck first if the office is even there,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Bayu explained that police have so far requested clarifications from\nthree individuals regarding the alleged fraud at Cakung\u2019s WO.<\/p>",
