        "content": "<p>Bandarlampung \u2013 The Lampung High Prosecutor\u2019s Office has named Arinal\nDjunaidi, Governor of Lampung Province for the 2019\u20132024 period, as a\nsuspect in an alleged corruption case concerning the management of funds\nfrom a 10 per cent \u201cparticipating interest\u201d (PI) in the Offshore South\nEast Sumatra (WK OSES) working area, valued at US$17,286,000.<\/p>\n<p>Lampung Senior Prosecutor Danang Suryo Wibowo stated in Bandarlampung\non Tuesday that the suspect designation was made after the investigation\nteam found at least two pieces of sufficient evidence.<\/p>\n<p>The 10 per cent participating interest (PI) represents the maximum\nownership right of 10 per cent that must be offered by oil and gas\ncooperation contract contractors (KKKS) to regional or state-owned\nenterprises (BUMD or BUMN).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBased on examination results and case exposure, two pieces of\nsufficient evidence have been found, so Mr ARD has been designated as a\nsuspect,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the case relates to alleged corruption in the\nmanagement of the 10 per cent PI funds in the offshore Sumatra working\narea, with a value reaching US$17,286,000.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSubsequently, suspect ARD will be detained at the Class I State\nDetention Centre in Bandar Lampung at Way Hui for the next 20 days,\u201d he\nadded.<\/p>\n<p>Danang stated that Arinal Djunaidi is charged under Article 603 of\nLaw No.\u00a01 of 2023 on the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 18 of\nLaw No.\u00a031 of 1999 on the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as\namended by Law No.\u00a020 of 2001, in conjunction with Article 20 letter c\nof the Criminal Code.<\/p>\n<p>Subsidiary: Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law No.\u00a031 of\n1999 as amended by Law No.\u00a020 of 2001, in conjunction with Article 20\nletter c of the Criminal Code.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Lampung High Prosecutor\u2019s Office reaffirms its commitment to\nhandling the case objectively, professionally, upholding justice and\nhuman rights values,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, he added, the prosecutor\u2019s office also opens\nopportunities for the public to monitor the legal process, including\nreporting any suspected violations by law enforcement officials.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe handling of this case is expected to proceed in accordance with\nlegal regulations for the enforcement of law and the realisation of\njustice for all Lampung society,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Former Governor Arinal Djunaidi arrived to comply with the summons\nfrom the Lampung High Prosecutor\u2019s Office at 10:00 WIB and left at 21:16\nWIB wearing a pink vest.<\/p>\n<p>Arinal, under tight escort by the Indonesian Army (TNI AD) and\nprosecutor\u2019s officials, was immediately taken to a detention vehicle to\nbe transported to the Way Hui Detention Centre.<\/p>",
