        "content": "<p>Former journalists exonerated<\/p>\n<p>YOGYAKARTA: The Yogyakarta district court exonerated Monday<br>\nthree former journalists of Kedaulatan Rakyat daily who were<br>\naccused of violating copyrights.<\/p>\n<p>Presiding judge Sri Boediastuti said the three must be freed<br>\nas there was no evidence that they had violated copyrights as<br>\ncharged by the management of the daily.<\/p>\n<p>The Kedaulatan Rakyat management had accused journalists<br>\nBambang Legowo, Sumanto and Pardoyo of violating intellectual<br>\ncopyrights by publishing a book titled Setengah Abad Meniti Buih<br>\n(A Half Century Walking Over the Froth) containing the daily's<br>\neditorials.<\/p>\n<p>The three published the book in 1995 after a tight selection.<br>\nThey said the publishing of the book was aimed at exploring the<br>\ndaily's attitude toward the political situation then.<\/p>\n<p>The Kedaulatan Rakyat management was upset and accused the<br>\nthree of violating intellectual copyrights.
