Former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie\nAdriansyah was detained at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)\ndetention facility on Friday night (24\/7).<\/p>\n
Febrie has been named a suspect in corruption and money laundering\n(TPPU) cases by the Attorney General\u2019s Office (Kejagung).<\/p>\n
Observations by CNNIndonesia.com in the field showed Febrie,\ntransported in a Kejagung Pidsus detention vehicle, arrived at around\n23.21 WIB. He did not wear a Kejagung detention vest, and his hands were\nnot handcuffed.<\/p>\n
Febrie was escorted by investigators from the Adhyaksa Corps,\nincluding Jember Chief Prosecutor Yadyn Palebangan, and Military Police\npersonnel. He did not answer questions from journalists waiting in the\nKPK detention facility compound.<\/p>\n
Earlier, upon leaving the Kejagung\u2019s Round Building, Febrie said he\nfelt criminalised after being named a suspect and detained by Adhyaksa\nCorps investigators over alleged corruption and money laundering.<\/p>\n
Initially, Febrie said he had discussed with the examining\nprosecutors that the evidence presented still needed to be examined or\nconfirmed.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo in my view this is not sufficient grounds for detention. At the\nRound Building (Kejagung) it has never been like this, never like this,\u201d\nFebrie said.<\/p>\n
Febrie said the evidence should have been confirmed and examined\nthoroughly first. In addition, he said, repeated public exposures should\nhave been conducted before naming someone a suspect and carrying out a\ndetention.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut this has become my superior\u2019s decision and I am ready to face\nit, and I do feel this is criminalisation, thank you,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Earlier, Kejagung questioned Febrie in the afternoon. He answered the\nsummons of Kejagung\u2019s Team 9 for questioning in the alleged money\nlaundering case on Friday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Head of Kejagung\u2019s Legal Information Centre, Anang Supriatna, said\nFebrie attended as a witness at 13.00 WIB. Notably, his arrival at the\nAdhyaksa Corps investigators\u2019 headquarters went unnoticed by journalists\ncovering the location in the afternoon.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe has attended the questioning, from around 13.00,\u201d Anang said when\nconfirmed on Thursday evening.<\/p>\n
Kejagung is known to have issued a new Investigation Order (Sprindik)\nspecifically concerning the alleged money laundering committed by\nFebrie.<\/p>\n
The Sprindik was issued after Team 9 received evidence in the form of\n74 kg of gold and foreign currency worth hundreds of billions of rupiah\nfrom the National Police\u2019s Corruption Crimes Task Force (Kortas\nTipidkor).<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Attorney General\u2019s Office has studied the case, resulting in a\nnew Investigation Order specifically for money laundering with Number\nPrint-03\/F.2\/Fd.2\/07\/2026 dated 20 July 2026,\u201d Anang said in a written\nstatement on Thursday (23\/7).<\/p>\n
In addition to Febrie, Anang said Team 9 had summoned three other\nindividuals related to this case on Wednesday (22\/7) to be questioned as\nwitnesses, namely Don Ritto, NH, and TS.<\/p>\n
