Former Deputy Minister of Manpower Immanuel Ebenezer Gerungan (Noel)\nhas stated that he refuses to become a witness in the trial concerning\nthe extortion case involving occupational safety and health (K3)\ncertificates. Only six defendants were willing to serve as witnesses in\nthe trial.<\/p>\n

The hearing took place at the Jakarta Corruption Court on Monday\n(20\/4\/2026). The six defendants who stated their willingness to serve as\nwitnesses in the case are Subhan, Bobby, Sekarsari, Anitasari, Supriadi,\nand Miki Mahfud.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the other five defendants, including Noel, expressed\nobjections and withdrew as witnesses in the case.<\/p>\n

    The judge stated that the examination of the case as witnesses refers\nto the mechanism stipulated in Articles 218 and 219 of the new Criminal\nProcedure Code (KUHAP). The prosecutor stated that they respect the\ndecision of the five defendants who refused to become witnesses in the\ncase.<\/p>\n
