        "content": "<p>Former BI director tried for graft<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: Former Bank Indonesia director Hendrobudiyanto stood<br>\ntrial on Monday, charged with manipulating the central bank&apos;s<br>\nliquidity support funds (BLBI) and causing the state to suffer a<br>\ntotal of Rp 18.2 trillion in losses.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutor Suhartono read out his indictment at a hearing<br>\npresided over by Judge Rusdi As&apos;ad at the Central Jakarta<br>\nDistrict Court.<\/p>\n<p>Hendrobudiyono was the third former BI director to have been<br>\nindicted for abusing his position. Earlier, other central bank<br>\ndirectors Paul Sutopo and Heru Soepraptomo were also indicted on<br>\nsimilar charges.
