Former Acting Governor of South Sulawesi (Sulsel) Bahtiar Baharuddin\nhas been designated as a suspect in a corruption case involving\npineapple seedlings worth Rp60 billion in the 2024 fiscal year. In\naddition to Bahtiar, five other individuals have been named as\nsuspects.<\/p>\n
According to detiksulsel on Monday, 9 March 2026 at 20:24 WITA, four\nother suspects first descended to the lobby of the South Sulawesi High\nProsecutor\u2019s Office (Kejati). Meanwhile, Bahtiar was reported still\nundergoing examination in the Special Crimes Division on the fifth floor\nuntil 21:10 WITA.<\/p>\n
\u201cAdministrative procedures are still ongoing upstairs, it probably\nwon\u2019t be long before he comes down,\u201d said one officer at the Kejati\nSulsel location.<\/p>\n
The suspects who had completed their examination wore masks and pink\nvests when exiting the lift. All five were immediately taken to the\nKejati Sulsel detention vehicle in front of the lobby.<\/p>\n
In addition to Bahtiar, the five other individuals designated as\nsuspects include two other civil servants with initials RE (35) and UN\n(49), the Director of PT AAN with initials RM (55), and a private sector\nemployee with initials RE (40).<\/p>\n
