        "content": "<p>Forestry Ministry explains<\/p>\n<p>From Neraca<\/p>\n<p>With reference to the question Do I need a permission to fell<br>\nmy own teak trees (Neraca, Nov. 11, 1995) we would like to<br>\nclarify as follows:<\/p>\n<p>* As far as tree felling on Java island is concerned no<br>\nspecial permission is required, particularly when teak trees are<br>\ninvolved. However, the Forestry Ministry has appointed Perum<br>\n(General Company) Perhutani to provide the communities with<br>\nguidance and the necessary documents needed to legalize the<br>\nownership, especially if the teak is going to be traded.<\/p>\n<p>* The owner of the land is advised to consult the Head of the<br>\nForest Administrative Unit of Perum Perhutani in Kuningan, West<br>\nJava.<\/p>\n<p>D.
