        "content": "<p>The government is set to cut the licensing process for foreign\nworkers (TKA) accompanying capital investment in Indonesia. This move is\nbeing implemented as several domestic industrial sectors still require\nforeign expertise.<\/p>\n<p>This policy was formalised through the signing of two Joint Decrees\n(SKB) between the Minister of Manpower Yassierli, the Minister of\nImmigration and Correctional Services Agus Andrianto, and the Minister\nof Investment and Downstreaming\/Head of BKPM Rosan P. Roeslani at the\nMinistry of Investment and Downstreaming\/BKPM Office in Jakarta on\nWednesday (9\/9\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>The first Joint Decree concerns the integration of the Online Single\nSubmission (OSS) system, the Labour Service Information and Application\nSystem (SIAPkerja), and the All Indonesia Application. The second Joint\nDecree pertains to the formation of an Integration Technical Team.<\/p>\n<p>Through this tripartite ministerial agreement, the Online Single\nSubmision (OSS) system under the Ministry of Investment and\nDownstreaming\/BKPM will be integrated with the Ministry of Manpower\u2019s\nSIAPkerja and the Ministry of Immigration and Correctional Services\u2019 All\nIndonesia Application.<\/p>\n<p>Rosan stated that the foreign worker permit process is now targeted\nto be completed within approximately five days. If this timeframe is\nexceeded, permits will be issued automatically according to the\nestablished mechanism.<\/p>\n<p>The policy is scheduled to take effect at the end of this month.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe plan is for implementation to begin at the end of this month; I\nhave been informed that, God willing, the results of our agreement\nbetween the three of us will be operational by the end of the month,\u201d\nsaid Rosan.<\/p>\n<p>Rosan noted that this time-reduction policy could boost investment\nand industry in Indonesia. The policy is also expected to have a\npositive impact on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause we see that in several industrial sectors, the need for\nforeign workers is still present. It is hoped that this can facilitate\nthe transfer of knowledge and technology to our local human resources,\u201d\nexplained Rosan, who is also the CEO of Danantara.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister of Manpower, Yassierli, added that with this Joint\nDecree, future services will become increasingly improved. Nevertheless,\nthe Minister ensured that the progress of foreign worker permit\nprocesses will continue to be monitored.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGod willing, we are confident that its implementation will provide\nmore effective and efficient services and results,\u201d stated\nYassierli.<\/p>",
