The request is still under intensive review.\n\u201cThere is no policy granting free access to foreign parties to use\nIndonesian airspace,\u201d said RI Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Yvonne\nMewengkang in Jakarta on Wednesday. Yvonne confirmed that the overflight\nclearance is a proposal from the US side, but it remains under internal\nconsideration by the Indonesian Government. \u201cThe regulatory mechanism\nmust still be carefully examined, placing national interests,\nIndonesia\u2019s airspace sovereignty, and the principles of free and active\nforeign policy as the primary foundation,\u201d she added.
